Driving Texas Economic Growth
By Building A Future-Ready
Workforce Through World-Class
Public Education
STRONG SCHOOLS + STRONG BUSINESSES = STRONG TEXAS
WHY BUSINESS LEADERS ARE ENGAGING
A world-class education system is Texas’ most important economic strategy.
Our mission is to unite business and education leaders to advance practical, outcome-based nonpartisan policies that help ensure world-class K-12 public education across Texas.
Right now, underinvestment and policy challenges are putting student readiness at risk. That doesn’t just affect classrooms; it impacts hiring pipelines, productivity, and growth. And because independent school districts are the backbone of communities across Texas, when schools struggle, communities and local economies feel it.
Business leaders engage with TBEA because you:
Strengthen Texas’ talent pipeline and future workforce
Gain actionable insight into how education impacts hiring, economic growth, and job creation
Align K–12 outcomes with real workforce needs and emerging technology skills
Champion practical, outcome-based, nonpartisan policy solutions
Support decisions that build stronger communities and a stronger Texas economy

WHAT IS TBEA?
The Texas Business Education Alliance (TBEA), is a state-wide alliance of strong business leaders in Texas. Its purpose is to unite business, education, and policy leaders around practical, outcome-based, nonpartisan legislative strategies that align K–12 public education with workforce needs and long-term economic growth.
We work to remove barriers that hold schools and students back, so more Texans graduate prepared to succeed in college, career, and life.
We believe every child in Texas should be afforded the opportunity to have high-quality education.
HOW TBEA WORKS
LEGISLATIVE & POLICY ENGAGEMENT
TBEA brings business leaders into education policy discussions to ensure lawmakers understand how public education decisions impact talent development, emerging industries, and Texas’ long-term economic competitiveness.

Our objective is to advance a policy environment that enables districts to innovate, adapt, and prepare more Texans for success in college, career, and life; strengthening both communities and the state economy.
